My name is Autumn
My blacksmithing journey began in 2001 at UNC-Charlotte while taking an elective in welding, woodworking, and metal arts. The love of the craft led to a more intensive study in bladesmithing and blacksmithing. I have applied the trade as an artist-in-resident at Poplar Grove Plantation in Wilmington, NC, providing demonstrations and information for tours and field trips since 2016.
Throughout this journey, I discovered the thrill of teaching this historical craft and have had the pleasure of introducing the hands-on art to thousands of students of all ages.
